Home Below the Heights

Based on a photo from a winter day near Wasserauen, Switzerland, during an internship just out of college. I spent the day hiking around Seealpsee, following winter Wanderwegs through farms and ski routes. A small home at the base of the cliffs stayed with me. It was the kind of detail that made the scale of the mountains feel even larger. Their distant beauty feels cold and imposing against the warmth and shelter of the home below.
