On a rainy, overcast day at Steigerwald Lake National Wildlife Refuge, low clouds and mist obscured the hills across the Columbia River, turning them shades of blue. The water was completely still, reflecting the bare trees and contrasting with the rust and mustard colors of the muddy banks.
